History of course: The Course moved to it's present site in 1921. The stream will come into play right at the start of your round, at the first hole. Originally it took a left to right diagonal course across the fairway, and the old watercourse can still be seen. In 1935 the Green keeper, George Hart, requested permission from the Committee to divert the stream so that it flowed down the left side of the fairway then swung right, in front of and alongside the green. The idea was to emulate as a mirror image, the first hole at St. Andrews, with the Swilken Burn in front.

Handicap Required: All players must provide a valid Handicap Certificate.

Professional: Our Club Professional Christopher Harrison is a member of the PGA who is always on hand and willing to give lessons and advice on golfing matters.

Club house: Recently refurbished Clubhouse which houses the Cassidy Lounge/Restaurant and Turton Room. The latter accommodating two full size snooker tables and a television area.
